The People Concern

The homelessness crisis has gripped Los Angeles and affects all of us. BOMA/GLA recognizes that combating this issue is a priority for our members. We also understand that knowing how to help or what to do is difficult to grasp when a social crisis is of this magnitude.
With that in mind, BOMA/GLA teamed up with an organization we believed could make the biggest impact in helping to solve this crisis: The People Concern. See how they make a difference.  Watch this video
Together we created, BOMA Cares "Hands Together", an initiative for our organization to ban together and collectively work towards combating this ever-growing issue through food and clothing drives, community events to assemble or serve lunches, prepare hygiene kits, and finally, fundraising towards the fight to end homelessness.
BOMA Cares "Hands Together", creates opportunities to pull together as a team or even volunteer individually to help cure homelessness and the issues surrounding being homeless.  Our goal is to encourage our members to take ACTION and connect them to an organization that tirelessly works towards ending the suffering that affects our homeless population. Let's ban together and collectively work towards combating this ever-growing issue through food and clothing drives, community events to assemble or serve lunches, prepare hygiene kits, and finally, fundraising towards the fight to end homelessness.

Here are just a few ways The People Concern makes a difference.

Vaccination Events. The People Concern is dedicated to providing low-barrier access to the COVID-19 vaccine to our most vulnerable neighbors. In partnership with the Department of Health Services, our teams organize vaccination events for people experiencing homelessness across L.A. County in areas where there is a high concentration of unsheltered people.

Hygiene Kit Assembly on Zoom. An opportunity to compile hygiene kits (virtually) with a representative from The People Concern present to educate, demonstrate and explain where the kits will go and the impact they will make in the lives of our unsheltered neighbors.

Snack Bag Assembly on Zoom. An opportunity to compile snack kits (virtually) with a representative from The People Concern present to educate, demonstrate and explain where the kits will go and the impact they will make in the lives of our neighbors who frequent our Drop-In Access Center.

DONATION.  High-Need Items. Purchasing items from our Amazon wish list provides opportunities for our teams to engage with the most vulnerable members of our community and offer them services.

IT'S TIME TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
